Integrating the whole value chain using state of the art technologies like IT, GIS, blockchain and using analtyical techniques to benchmark, identify and promote efficient technologies using web application is the solution to reinforce and make the Indian dairy farming systems sustainable and resilient.
To this objective, a online tool to collect data, analyse and prepare reports on dairy farming systems. A multi-tiered integrated web / mobile application to network, collect data and provide services through
“
The integration of dairy value chain is done by setting up a DIAS milkshed server at the dairy processing plant and DIAS dairy hubs in the villages . The DIAS dairy hubs are integrated with the dairy value chain stakeholders in the upstream from all dairy farm inputs and service providers. All dairy farmers are members of the DIAS dairy hub. Similar hubs are created for breeding farmers, fodder farmers , etc. All of these hubs are linked to the main milkshed srver, which in turn is linked to the DIAS central server. Similar milkshed are linked to the DIAS central server, enabling the whole milk shed to develop and get linked to the markets.
For the analtyical framework of DIAS, the innovative FOGS Frontier Concept is developed at the centre, which consists of 10 dimensions of integrated dairy farming system.
It also assesses the 10 dimensions of frontier frontier concept of integrated dairy farming system. It covers the resource benchmarking and the management of resources for a frontier optimized system. The resources covered starts from the dairy farmer typology, to his herd resources, and the necessary feed, machinery and infrastructure. Once the farmer resources are benchmarked, the frontier management of these resources for the farming system is analysed on feed, farm, health, waste and market to give the complete picture of the farm type.
Methodology used
•Use of past published research work to identify frontier farms for data collection in the region
•Whole farm accounting
•Milk production costing and productivity analysis of farms for scenario analysis
•AI and GAMS based goal programming model for optimization strategies
Our products and services use innovative in-house developed models and latest globally accepted methods and technologies in dairy value chain development.
This will benefit the society and enable access to safe foods, secure lives and protect the environment. Our farmers will gain efficiency, reduce risks in markets and make good profits.
Our online applications and services is built with state of the art knowledge and technolgies. Our customers are mainly the dairy processors , input suppliers and farmers. They will be able to ensure stable markets, jobs and gain efficiency to be globally competitive.
Use of remotesensing data helps to get access to resource use and conditions for land use to improve efficeny of fodder production. Like topography, water, soil moisture, vegetation, rainfall, etc. This will improve fodder production and lower costs thus making dairy farming profitable
Our social and environmental goals is to ensure that poverty, hunger and malnutrition is reduced and that dairy farming is energy and resource efficient and contributes least to carbon emissions. This we are doing by
DESIGN AND BUILD / TRANSFORM DAIRY FARMS THAT ARE
•SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE
•GLOBALLY COMPETITIVE
•ENERGY EFFICIENT •ENVIRONMENTAL SAFE
We will measure the impact through our integrate
SDG 1 (End poverty), SDG 2 (End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture), SDG 8 (Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all), SDG 9 (Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation) and SDG 12 (Ensure sustainable cons
