The UNDP-HDI Index shows a significant correlation with the Gross National Income per capita (log) in PPP USD for 2022. Hence increasing the national income could be the precursor to higher living standards, better health, better education and a higher life expectancy. So, the solution to increasing national income, needs deep probe into the complexity of factors in a region or country. This complexity arrives from the geospatial, cultural, climatic, political, environmental domain etc. which is highly diverse among countries or within. Hence, right diagnosis needs careful assessment of the complex factors to arrive at sustainable solutions to increasing national income and overall development of the nation and global community. The 3i method of sustainable solutions digs deep into the roots of the problem on scientific principles and ensures risk minimization in the implementation of the solutions to a sustainable food system and world order.

As living standards rise and income increases at a national level, the cost of living also increases. That is why , the notion of extreme poverty at 3 USD per capita per day makes little sense. The poverty line as set at 8.30 USD / day by World Bank gives a better dimension to multi dimensional poverty and hence enables to define policies and programs to improve the living standards.
