Our 3i Approach for Problem Solving

Magnifying glass zooms in on smart agriculture fields with technology icons below.

Identify: This involves a descriptive analysis of the problem, focusing on resources, policies, markets, value addition, and sustainable food systems. The ultimate goal is to locate, benchmark, and record the repository of local frontier technologies through the 3i innovative method.

This process aims to conduct an impact assessment that diagnoses the problem at its roots by answering the 'Whats' and 'Whys' of the issues faced:

1. What are the production systems zone-wise?

2. What are the characteristics of the systems and drivers?

3. What frontier technologies drive these systems?

Diagram showing steps to measure, validate, and communicate impact.

Impact: The next step in diagnosing the problem involves conducting an impact assessment to measure how it will influence stakeholders and the potential future scenarios under the current status quo through predictive analysis.

Using the 3i innovative method, the goal is to measure, validate, and communicate the effects of the most efficient innovations by addressing the 'Hows' of the impact both ex-post and ex-ante:

1. How will the present problem/policies/programs impact the stakeholders and the environment within sustainable food systems?

2. How will the proposed solutions affect stakeholders and mitigate the problem at hand?

3. What will the outlook be on sector development?

Diagram showing two phases to implement and scale solutions with planning and monitoring.

Implement: Finally, we provide the right guidance for strategic and tactical decision-making by stakeholders to execute the optimal solutions through our 3i innovative method. Various prescriptive and exploratory approaches are used to arrive at the best outcomes. Our goal is to foster trust, cooperation, and collaboration for grassroots implementation, monitoring, and support of sustainable food systems.

The objective is to ensure that grassroots-level stakeholders can undertake, manage, and achieve desired results by acquiring the knowledge and skills regarding the 'Hows' of the solutions:

1. How can communication and leadership skills be developed to implement the optimal solutions effectively?

2. How can technical skills be imparted to the stakeholders to ensure a sustainable and viable implementation?

3. How will impact assessment and monitoring of the implementation program be conducted to guarantee the sustainability of the solution?
